The Federation of Professionals, Craftsmen & Merchants Heraklion is the largest second-degree union of small and medium businesses in Heraklion, Crete. Established in 1935, it represents around 6,000 professionals across 40 active first-degree unions. The Federation’s main activities include advocating for the economic, social, and professional interests of its

members. It systematically studies the challenges faced by these professionals, promotes collaboration through consortia and cooperatives, and encourages syndicalism to enhance their participation in union activities. Additionally, the Federation organizes mobilizations, engages with public and administrative authorities, issues educational materials, and conducts seminars and conferences to support the professional development and expertise of its members. These activities are aimed at safeguarding the rights and interests of small and medium enterprises within Heraklion.

The learners typically range from young adults in their mid-20s to older professionals in their 50s and 60s. Lifelong Learning Centre “Oloklirosi”

The Lifelong Learning Centre “Oloklirosi is a certified by the National Organization for the Certification of Qualifications and Vocational Guidance (EOPPEP) and the General Secretary for Lifelong Learning of the Ministry of Education (GGDBM). Since 2018 the organization expanded its activities as an international lifelong center through the foundation of the Erasmuslearn educational center (https://erasmuslearn.eu/).

In adition provides:

educational and vocational training services to unemployed, vulnerable social groups and employees, on modern subjects that meet the real needs of the labour market in order to promote the unemployed people and people from vulnerable social groups to the labour market and upgrade employees’ skills,
counselling and vocational guidance services, studies conduction services on the labour market,
entrepreneurship counselling and specialized entrepreneurship counselling services in the social economy.

Consorzio Scuola Comunità Impresa (Consortium School Community Company) is a regional training agency set up in 1999 in Novara with the aim of establishing connections and ongoing relations between schools, public administration, and corporate world. Consortium members include universities, secondary schools, companies, associations, private training organisations and municipalities in the province of Novara.
